ECAC Type B Liquid Explosive Detection System (LEDS)

EMILI 3 is a fast real time analyser based on RF, IR and gravimetric sensing technology. It enables non-invasive discrimination of liquids and gels inside various containers. The containers can be transparent or opaque; made of plastic, glass, metal or ceramic. EMILI 3 has been designed for Security Applications in accordance with the European ECAC Type B Liquid Explosive Detection System (LEDS) requirements.

EMILI 3 is a stand-alone plug and play instrument for liquid identification in security applications.

EMILI 3 is very simple to use, requires minimal training time and is fast with typical scan times of around one 1-3 seconds.

There are no continually moving or wearing parts. Moreover, there is no push button to start the liquid identification process, and the unit starts taking readings as soon as a container is positioned on the sensor.

A message (which can be user defined in different languages) appears at the end of the scan process characterising the liquid as ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’.
